What Will You Do With SAFE Sens?

Our fluorescent pH monitoring uses a patented process to provide continuous, non-invasive monitoring for up to seven (7) days. The underlying technology used in the TrakStation has been applied successfully to the blood storage market since 2006. The TrakStation pH monitoring technology is a direct derivative of our pH Reader used with tens of thousands of platelet storage bags.

How Does it Work?

The fluorescent signal is read continuously and converted to a pH value- these pH readings are then displayed on the reader and automatically graphed and saved in real time.

The TrakStation works with cabinet style incubators and benchtop configurations, offers peace of mind to embryologists, and ensures successful outcomes. Now there is no longer a reason to disturb the fluid to measure pH- the TrakStation gives you a reliable and easy to use way to monitoring pH non-invasively.

The Advantages of Optical pH Fluorometers

Checking media pH using traditional pH meters is often complicated and takes significant time to check at regular intervals. Because pH is one of the most critical factors that influence the performance of media for embryonic development and viability, it’s vital to have a method that ensures successful outcomes.

Optical pH Fluorometers such as the TrakStation pH monitoring system can continuously monitor media pH using a reference sample placed in the incubator. The unique properties of the pH sensor allow for pH value sampling without disturbing culture media. The easy to use software displays and stores pH values in real time as the fluorescent signal is read continually at a set frequency and converted to pH.

The TrakStation pH Monitoring System

What is the TrakStation?

The TrakStation records pH readings in thirty (30) minute intervals and is available for use in large format and benchtop incubators. Our continuous pH monitoring technology supports many industries, including:

  • Clinical IVF Embryo Culture
  • Clinical or Research Andrology
  • Animal Science Research
  • Cell Manufacturing

TrakStation pH Monitoring Components

TrakStation

The TrakStation can connect up to eight (8) TrakPod® pH monitoring devices in multiple large format incubators or desktop chambers.  The TrakStation consists of a touch screen display that magnetically mounts onto the side or front of one of your incubators.  It is where TrakPods are interfaced with to initiate pH tests, view historical pH results and output data to USB flash drive.

System

  • Continual reading: up to 7 days
  • pH Accuracy: ± 0.05 (range 7.0 to 7.6)
  • pH Resolution: 0.01

TrakPod

The TrakPod is the proprietary optical pH measurement server.  Trakpods have internal magnets allowing for placement on the side of the cabinet style incubators.  For benchtop incubators, the TrakPod is located inside the incubator.

sv2 sensors

The sv2 sensor is a non-invasive disposable with an advanced fluorescent membrane. The small cuvette size does not take up valuable culture dish space and can be used to track pH data for up to 7 days.

qc2 Alignment Tool

The qc2 tool adjusts the fluorescent signal and re-aligns the TrakStation in 30 seconds or less. Use of this tool on a weekly basis means no calibration, pH buffers, or downtime for the lab. One (1) qc2 alignment tool is needed per laboratory.
