SAFE Sens is Excited to Launch our Demo Program for Qualified Labs

Try out the TrakStation® in your cabinet-style incubator for 30 days to learn more about your culture system and how pH monitoring works

What is the TrakStation?

The TrakStation records pH readings in thirty (30) minute intervals for up to seven (7) days and is available for use in large format and/or benchtop incubators. Our continuous pH monitoring technology is used in many industries, including:

  • Clinical IVF Embryo Culture
  • Clinical/Research Andrology
  • Animal Science Research
  • Cell Manufacturing

The TrakStation can connect up to eight (8) TrakPod® pH monitoring devices in multiple large format incubators or desktop chambers. The TrakStation system consists of a touch screen display that magnetically mounts onto the side or front of one of your incubators, as well as the TrakPod, disposable sv2 sensor cups, and qc2 alignment tool.

What are the Benefits of a TrakStation Demo?

The Demo program allows the lab to learn how media equilibration equipment behaves without the high financial cost of retrofitting an entire lab. With the pH monitoring demo, the lab can:

  • Gain new information about the embryo culture system
  • Try the TrakStation before committing to an integrated benchtop purchase
  • Test the features included with pH monitoring using the TrakStation
  • Set up the demo in old/research equipment to determine the capacity of use

How Does the TrakStation Demo Work?

  1. After contacting BCSI, we will coordinate a shipment of the TrakStation to start the 30 Day Trial period.
  2. Once the TrakStation pH monitoring system is received, installation  can be performed by lab staff and takes less than 10 minutes
  3. At the end of your 30-Day trial period, you may decide whether to purchase your current model, inquire about benchtop incubator options, or return the demo equipment

Who Currently Qualifies For The TrakStation Demo?

The TrakStation Demo Program is currently only available in the United States.

I'm Interested in a Demo Unit, But I Currently Do Not Qualify/Had Something Else in Mind. What Should I Do?

Contact us stating your interest in a demo unit from the website. Include your suggestions or requested customizations, and we will be happy to work with you to see if we can equip your lab with a demo unit that fits your needs or determine your eligibility for a purchasing discount.

Why Should I Perform pH Monitoring in a Large Format Incubator?

Even if your lab performs embryo culture in benchtop incubators, there are benefits to monitoring pH in the large cabinet style incubators commonly used for dish prep or embryo transfer media equilibration. Please see here for an analysis of the short term and long term benefits of pH monitoring.

What is Continuous pH Monitoring in Cabinet Incubators Used For?

Continuous pH monitoring enables your lab data to track equipment status and culture conditions through non-invasive testing.   Example features include:

  • Monitor proper water pan levels to optimize humidity, reduce harmful or extreme pH fluctuations, and track incubator usage
  • Catch variants of airborne contamination through media pH changes in real-time rather than waiting for qualitative observations of contamination
  • Synchronize media conditions so that dishes prepared and equilibrated in cabinet incubators are no different from their benchtop incubator counterparts

What Will You Learn With pH Monitoring?

The TrakStation® pH monitoring system takes the guesswork out of your final media pH value using our proprietary fluorescent dye technology. Our system reacts to the shifting chemistry in the medium, meaning that changes caused by your incubator equipment will be reflected in the pH value collected and stored every 30 minutes for up to 7 days.
