Software Version 1.1.1 And Associated Firmware Are Run On The Following Tablet Model Types:

Please confirm your software AND firmware version prior to updating.

Software and firmware updates for the wrong operating system (OS) will directly inhibit the use of your TrakStation.

NOTE

If you are running the TrakStation software v1.0.8 please follow one of our two guidelines for a successful software update:

Option 1:

1. Download the v1.1.0 version of the software BEFORE you attempt to download version v1.1.1.

Linux v1.1.0 Version 1.1.0

2. Place the download file directory on the USB drive- do not place the download in a folder- otherwise, the update may not be successful. The software update takes 30 seconds to apply.  It is advisable not to be running any active pH tests during the software update.

3. Confirm your current software version is now v1.1.0 by entering your Supervisor Menu and clicking the TrakStation Software Update Button

4. Continue to update to the current software version by either downloading v1.1.1 onto an external USB drive or by direct download from the web.

Option 2:

1. Download the current software version v1.1.1 to an external USB. Place the download file directory on the USB drive- do not place the download in a folder- otherwise, the update may not be successful.

2. Rename the file from “tslinux”.jar to “firmware”.jar. Confirm that the file ends in .jar before continuing with the download

The software update takes 30 seconds to apply.  It is advisable not to be running any active pH tests during the software update.

3. Confirm your current software version is now v1.1.1 by entering your Supervisor Menu and clicking the TrakStation Software Update Button

TrakStation (Version 1.1.1)

Download the TrakStation software v1.1.1 to a USB drive. The software update takes 30 seconds to apply.  It is advisable not to be running any active pH tests during the software update.

Software may be updated either via an internet connection, if available, or by downloading the update file from here and loading it to the TrakStation via a USB drive.  The software update takes 30 seconds to apply.  It is advisable not to be running any active pH tests during the software update.

If the file is greater than 100 MB, downloading it may add time to the 30 seconds to apply the update.

TrakPod Firmware (Version v1.4)

Updates

• Improves the USB resetting of a TrakPod so that in many instances a manual disconnection and re-connection is not required to restore the USB connection

Most of the changes foreseen for the TrakStation system will be handled on the TrakStation.  TrakPod firmware updates are minimal and most usability features do not require these types of firmware updates. However, some software features are dependent on the most recent firmware version.

The TrakPod firmware update files can be downloaded here and then uploaded by USB on your TrakStation to each TrakPod using the UPDATE PODS button. Watch the video below for complete process.

TrakPod Firmware v1.4

Instructions:

Place the downloaded .DFU file on a USB drive and connect it to your TrakStation. Stop any active pH tests for the TrakPod you will update and ensure it is actively connected to the TrakStation (green border on home screen). In the Supervisor menu, select the desired TrakPod to update from the dropdown list under the “Update Pods” menu. Then, once it appears, select the .DFU file on your USB drive using the interface. Do not unplug TrakPod or interrupt the update process by hitting somewhere else on the TrakStation screen during the update or you may make the TrakPod unusable. The TrakPod update can take up to two (2) minutes. At the end of the update, the TrakStation will instruct you to unplug and reconnect the TrakPod.

Note: When attempting to view the Firmware version for a specific TrakPod a USB drive must be plugged into the TrakStation.
