Please confirm your software version prior to updating.
Software updates for the wrong operating system (OS) will directly inhibit the use of your TrakStation.
TrakStation (Version 2.1.3)
Download the TrakStation software v2.1.3 to a USB drive. The software update takes 30 seconds to apply. It is advisable not to be running any active pH tests during the software update.

Software Updates Download Instructions
From TrakStation Version 2.1.0 or later to Version 2.1.3
Software may be updated either by selecting the “Install Update From Web” button on your TrakStation or by downloading the update files. See below for instructions on downloading the update using a USB, the download software file, and our updateHelper program.
From TrakStation Version 2.0.0 or earlier to Version 2.1.3
Software MUST be updated by downloading the new software release file and the updateHelper program. See below for instructions on downloading the update using a USB, the downloaded software file, and our updateHelper program.
Update Helper Script
- A windows batch script was prepared in case users had difficulty updating the software as the software update was one of the features that needed to be worked on as part of this version release. The script uses native Windows commands as well as cURL to upload the new software. This file along with the update “tswindows.jar” file will need to be added to the users C:/ drive in the same location and the batch script can then run. This will also force a system restart.

To perform the update using a downloaded file on a USB, the udpdateHelper program must also be downloaded. The software update takes 30 seconds to apply. It is advisable not to be running any active pH tests during the software update.
- Download the TrakStation software v2.1.3 to a USB drive.
2. Download the TrakStation updateHelper to a USB drive
3. Use fn-shift-alt-f4 using the provided keyboard to exit the TrakStation software screen. Place both the TrakStation software v2.1.3 and the update helper on the Desktop of your tablet.

4. Double click on the updateHelper to start the program- this will start the download process. Do not exit out of opened windows during the software update process. Software updates will take ~30 seconds to initiate a restart on your tablet.
DO NOT close windows that appear after starting the updateHelper
5. After a tablet restart, enter the Supervisor screen and confirm that the new version of the software is downloaded.

Both the updateHelper and the tswindows software file can now be saved elsewhere such as in Documents for records, or may be removed from the Desktop unless another software update is needed.
NOTE: You may need to clear your chrome cache on your tablet to accurately view the current software type.

All future software and firmware updates can be performed from the Supervisor’s menu.
