Continuous pH Monitoring for Better IVF Outcomes

Seattle, WA 22 March 2016 – Blood Cell Storage, Inc. (BCSI) and Concile Diagnostics S.L., a Spanish corporation, announced today an exclusive distribution relationship for the SAFE Sens® TrakStation®  / Trak Pod®  continuous pH monitoring systems into large format incubators in Spain, Portugal and Italy.   Products are available immediately.

“Our entry into the Spanish marketplace is an important step forward since Spain is well respected in human assisted reproductive technology (ART),” said Russ Aldrich, CEO of BCSI.  “We are excited to be working with Concile on the launch of the TrakStation and TrakPod as well as supporting Concile with their current SAFE Sens IVM customers,” Aldrich said.

“We have been working with Blood Cell Storage, Inc. (BCSI) on both generations of the SAFE Sens continuous pH monitoring products for IVF,” said Joan Carles Bueno, managing director of Concile Diagnostics S.L.  “We see the need for clinics to have accurate and stable pH measurements for better outcomes of IVF procedures,” he added.

TrakStation and TrakPod are the latest generation of continuous pH monitoring laboratory instruments from BCSI.  With the capability of monitoring from one (1) to eight (8) chambers simultaneously, the system provides the lab manager or clinician with assurance of a stable incubator environment throughout the five (5) to seven (7) day IVF cycle.  Further, the system requires no expensive calibration or adjustments during the process.  One disposable sensor lasts the entire cycle and is replaced between cycles; a replaceable QC alignment tool adjusts the instrument to factory specifications in under ten (10) seconds after each cycle is complete.
